Does the "new v2 tech" require a special codec? Tried to play this video on 4 different up to date players without any success. Windows Media Player offered to sell me an HEVC Video Extensions codec pack. Please advise. Thanks.
no, its just encoded using h265 for the best quality/file size ratio as files would be to large in x264 at this point.
if you use VLC or mpc HC or any reputable video player you'll be fine
Negative @TC. I tried VLC, MPC-HC, PotPlayer and Windows Media Player. All up to date. All failed. Downloaded the file twice just to make sure there was not an extraction error.
Disregard my previous comment. The initial 2 extraction was done through JDownloader. A Third extraction using Winrar resulted in a playable video file. JDownloader did not flag an problems and extracted a proper looking file that would not play.
thats odd, do other videos work when extracted via jdownloader?
Yes, never had a problem before with a fully extracted file. I've had plenty of failed extractions from JD that I was able to extract using Winrar.
